The Brewers Association of Maryland represents and supports over 75+ independent craft breweries throughout the state. Eligibility

A brewery is eligible to join BAM as a Licensed Brewery member if it meets all of the following criteria according to the BAM Bylaws:

  1. Brewers Association Definition
    • Qualifies as an independent craft brewer as defined by the Brewers Association (“BA”). If the BA definition changes, the Association shall align with the updated definition unless otherwise determined by a Board vote.
  2. Maryland Production Requirement
    • Maintains an active and substantive connection to beer production within the State of Maryland by meeting one (1) of the following:
      1. Holds an active brewery license issued by the State of Maryland; or
      2. Is a contract brewing company whose beer is produced primarily by a brewery holding an active Maryland brewery license.
  3. In-State Production Standard
    • Produces a majority of its beer volume through a Maryland-licensed brewery.
  4. Good Standing
    • Remains in good standing with all applicable state and federal licensing and regulatory authorities.

 

Membership Dues

  • Annual memberships renew on February 1st.
  • Quarterly memberships renew on February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st.
  • First year memberships will be prorated, then the full dues price for future years.
  • You may choose to pay dues on an annual or quarterly basis. Autorenewal is optional for annual memberships and required for the first membership payment for quarterly memberships. (Autorenewal can be deactivated for future payments.)
  • Membership tiers are based on the number of barrels produced in the prior year. View these tiers and submit an application below.
