BREWERY IN PLANNING

Part of the Brewers Association of Maryland’s mission is to help new breweries, cideries, and meaderies through the licensing and startup process. The association has assisted dozens of in planning members with either opening a physical taproom or becoming a licensed craft beer brand. Regardless of your desired path, we encourage those interested in entering the Maryland craft beer industry to become a member and begin networking with the industry, benefit from the legal and regulatory advice and participate in BAM’s consumer marketing programs.

Membership Benefits

• Invite up to 3 staff to receive email communications from BAM and access the member community and resource hub.
• Direct support during the licensing and zoning/planning startup process.
• Invitations to attend bi-annual member meetings and networking meet-ups.
• A dedicated business page on the Brewers Association of Maryland website. (optional)

Eligibility

• In planning members must intend to open a physical brewery, cidery, or meadery or become a licensed craft beer, cider, or mead brand.
• Must be based in Maryland and intend to upgrade membership to a Licensed Brewery upon opening of operations.
• Note: Brewery In Planning is a non-voting membership.

Membership Dues

• Annual memberships renew on February 1st.
• Quarterly memberships renew on February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st.
• First year memberships will be prorated, then the full dues price for future years.
• You may choose to pay dues on an annual or quarterly basis. Autorenewal is optional for annual memberships and required for the first membership payment for quarterly memberships. (Autorenewal can be deactivated for future payments.)
